Why would you want to autistically measure everything like an architect? You're by no means obligated to do it to make a sound perspective drawing.

Laying out perspective is tedious, but you know what else is tedious? Every other fucking thing in drawing.

The ctrlpaint course on perspective is quite good and non-mathish

I will tell you a secret fampai... just use google sketchup to do the environments and draw over the render of them. You can create your own 3D models or download them of the 3D warehouse... you can find everything there; chairs, schoolrooms, hallways, buildings, parks etc. Don't mention this often, IC doesn't deserve it.

Although is more complicated than that, use this tips and it would be easier for you to get into sketchup

>For rendering use nxt Irender or vray 2.0 you can get both of them on the piratebay
>Render in clay mode
>Use the advanced camera options to save the views of your model
>When you have the camera where you want you can go to -camera -two point perspective to have a nice traditional 2 point perspective view

You still need to knows the basics of perspective to put your characters on the scene but is a lot easier and quicker than using vanishing points, rulers and etc. Also composition is important, take the composition into consideration before creating your render

Basically:

>Create or download your model
>Put a camera on the model
>Move the camera to create a nice shot of your model
>Click render
>Done
