Well, to be fair, when people ask vague questions, they're met with vague answers.

Just about everything you need to know is on the internet.

New artists seem to be reliant on a course-system that lays everything out in a structured, easy-to-digest manner. But a lot of this is shooting in the dark until you start to figure things out. Google things. There are communities all over the internet with good resources for learning things. Take advantage of everything you can. And most of all, use your brain. Think about why things work, don't just memorize that they do. Look at work you like for like 20 minutes and figure out how they approached different problems.

You can draw every day for a year, but if you're not aiming for anything in particular with your studies, you won't get anywhere.
