If he has a large body of work, he should start contacting art agents in his country, to see if they'll represent him. It's a lot easier than learning the ropes on his own. They charge 15-20% of sales, which is reasonable. He needs to figure out what he wants - to sell paintings outright, or sell posters and prints and licenses. There's a HUGE fine art publishing industry that sells art like his, for posters, and can be very lucrative.
He can also look into leasing a gallery for a private show of his own, since he has a large body of work. Sit down with him and put together a solid portfolio of slides and digital, and just start calling galleries, asking if they'd like to show his work. You have the internet, use it. Breaking into the US - I'd break into your own country, first, get an agent who works in your country and the US, and have them work his portfolio.

For what purpose? There are no paying patrons for real art on any of those platforms, that's where weeabos and pervs troll for porn.
He's a real artist, he needs to be shown to people who buy real art, not kids who want a thumbnail image for their Xbox account.

He has people selling his paintings in galleries in the US and Mexico, and a few online galleries
I don't think he wants to deal with Mexican art agents of anything like that, and he won't invest money with these people
He has even sold a painting to Mel Gibson once

Here's his website in case you are curious
He's been living strictly off this for more than 30 years but I think that he should be making more money at this point given his mastery...

Okay, then you need to find him a US agent. This is now beyond the scope of what I can help you with. Go talk to professional art dealers and agents, they'll know more than I.

I think they might rip him off, but thanks anyway
Ask Stapleton Kearns. He is a painter and will know.
