Ever since I saw ortographic drawings of spaceships as a kid I knew I preferred pictures with long focal lengths to narrow, high FOV perspective, it just feels more natural to life. I don't walk around seeing vanishing lines converging everywhere, but I don't want to make isometric drawings.
Every perspective guide, however, uses these ridiculously high field of view guides with vanishing points that sit closer than my testicles.
Attempting a higher focal length look often feels like haphazard guesswork, and placing several figures on the plane feels more difficult.. Is there an easier way to go about it?
The perspective here confuses me for instance, ignore the upward hill and look at the cars on the ground plane. Everything on that plane, including the sidewalk and tram lines are aligned in perspective, but the cars don't seem aligned st all?

Can you really not figure out why this might be?

Do you know how to park properly? Compared to the sidewalk they look like they're pointing right into the street, but they're supposed to be parallel?
