If he's an in-house 3d modeler at a game studio, chances are he doesn't have his work saved anywhere other than at his workplace. Maybe the game got released and he thought the NDA for his work is lifted now so he can post an in-game shot of his 3D model that he worked on. But yeah, it's a rather weird thing to do.
