Please be bait
>>3092961
can you draw the rest of the body aswell? there's some serious issues with your face perspective tho. the jaw looks like a sort of butchered 3/4 view but all her features are a perfect frontal shot. The fact that you show one ear m akes me think you wanted a 3/4 shot, in which case you should rotate the features aswell
>>3092962
there's really no hope for any of us it looks like
>>3092962
are you defective?
>>3092969
nope.
>>3092961
that is a month of improvement if you actually care about drawing
Still pretty shit, but not too bad for 1 year of improvement
>>3093558
My dude, STRUCTURE. You need to study structure and a lot of is, asap.
Loomis, Hampton, Hogarth, read up on anybody that teaches you how to think about and build your drawings in dimension.
Also do exercises from here as well:

Learning perspective will help you think in 3D.
>>3093558
I honestly think you've gotten worse. The 2016 is slightly better looking.
>>3093573
Thanks dude, nobody ever gives me proper concrit and it just gets super annoying
>>3093582
That's because he only drew one eye.
These are the people critiquing your work.
>>3092962
It obviously is, don't be so gullible.
>>3093654
Happy to help! 3D thinking and drawing are one of those ultra important things to know. Getting a good grasp of it should open up a whole new world for you in terms of your drawings, it makes it a lot easier to draw characters in layouts/scenes, inanimate objects, foreshortened limbs, etc.
>>3093685
>the average /ic/ poster is a weeb drawing, picture-of-pen-on-paper-taking, nogainer critiquing your work
lmao
I took a really long hiatus 2014-2016. How am I doing?
/ic/ just stop posting it's embarrassing.
>>3093709
Hard to tell. Is that a deliberate stylization, can you draw a proper human figure, showing arm muscles and all?
>>3093712
I do some figure studies but few I've taken pictures of since they're mostly traditional. This one of my more recent ones
I lapse into shit art when I get lazy but right now I am working on poses so they don't look like complete ass.
>>3093721
looks like you spent 25 minutes on the titties and 2 seconds on everything else
>>3093817
You're actually completely right.
>>3093724
how did you learn rendering and whatnot?
>>3093724
Can you post a drawing you did? Your left side is drawing, but your right side is rendering. Hard to gauge a bit.
>>3092967
Lately I've put more effort into gesture drawing, starting with 30 second 1 minute and 2 minute poses but honestly i struggle a lot.
I think I would improve faster if I had an actual teacher or mentor but the fact is I don't have the time or money at the moment for classes.
>>3092962
Not b8 but definitely ironic
>>3093966
alzheimers, right? tragic
>>3093966
>2000
He just fucking gave up didn't he
>>3093966
I'm sure alzheimers will be cured by the time we reach this age. I fucking hope so at least.
Rei. I start last year, so i guess is a decent progress, i guess. It would be nice if i ve started younger, but i start at 21, where there are tons of people who are incredible at this age and already making money.
>>3094049
Get your hands on the Groundwork of Evangelion books, they are full of incomplete drawings from the scenes in the movies. A lot of pen on paper with only the most basic details. I think you'd benefit a lot from it if you're looking to imitate the look of her face.
>>3093817
titties are the most important part of a lewd drawing.
>>3094049
that's still quite a bit of improvement in 1 year. don't compare yourself to others and just keep practicing.
My biggest regret is not taking actually studying properly until 6 months ago.
>>3094100
be honest did you make that claw thing just to avoid drawing another hand?
>>3094101
No, but I did fail at drawing it
>>3094107
>>3093712
wow youre retarded lmao
>>3094109
LMFAO
>>3093844
I feel that L and R is primarily pseudoscience.
Anyway my drawings/sketches are much worse than my paintings. This is partly because I am drawing on an Intuos S which is quite cramping and partly because I lack enthusiasm when it comes to doing clean lined sketches. Pic related is one that recently, but as you can imagine a drawing that I spend half an hour on is going to come out looking at lot better than those 1 minute to 2 minute shitfests on top of carpal tunnel and on top of time pressures. Some days I can draw well and other days I draw terribly.
>>3093840
I learned rendering from doing master studies. To be absolutely precise, I did like two master studies recently and like 3 photostudies and randomly improved a shitload, for no particular reason, so my average art ability is probably going to drop for a few weeks to troll me. I collect art from my favourite anime artists on pixiv and classical paintings on /ic/ and refer to those when I am doing original drawings.
I have watched videos by this guy and that meme guy I forgot his name (who was apparently formerly a shoplifter or something?)

I think rendering is mostly observation.
I have been on /beg/ since 2015. I mostly practiced by sketching, every /beg/ thread that I am in, the practice poses and heads posted. Back in 2015 you often saw people like Firez posting so that basically gave me a ruler for how shit I was compared to other artists. Communal drawing is a really good tool for picking out inadequacies, in my opinion, and although I rarely posted what I drew I looked at where I went wrong and tried to correct it - 99% of the time I was unsuccessful.
Typically I draw about 52 times a year including /beg/ shit, however this year I am drawing more abt 72+ so far. I would improve more with more work ethic.
>>3094133

As you can see, poses are definitely my weak point and something that I need to improve on (especially proportions-wise and observing negative space). Two suggestions made to me included attemping to draw from the centre of the body outwards and observing negative space more carefully.
Probably pose improvement in drawing since joining /beg/ is only about 5-15%. Pose drawing is not something that I am good at, probably this is also impacted by my lazy nature.
>>3093966
>no one is mentioning the year gap between 67 and 96
>>3093966
This is your brain on weed.
A quickly from then and a quickly from now. Although i started to study in 2016.
>>3093234
What pencils do you use?
Do you use paper stumps?
Also, what do you learn from?
>>3093966
this guy is amazing, the last ones are fantastic
>>3093721
Well then you're doing pretty bad, three years is about the right amount time to get to marketable level.
>>3094327
Those years were my transition into adulthood; and I was reconsidering my choice of career. I was convincing myself I was childish and needed to grow up. Very little time/motivation to draw.
>>3094049
Focus on values and technical drawing skill, dont stress this is a solid improvement
