Why do people say this? Obviously, the work in there is gonna be shit. If someone does improve, they move on to the drawthread or alt styl thread. Saying /beg/ thread doesn't improve because there is shit art is kind of redundant...

/ic/ just has autistically high standards, yet can't reproduce those standards
>>3093801
Yep

>tfw the high standards are a double edged sword
Good to shoot high, but terrible if you don't realize you're going to be under them for years and years with the intention of quitting after realizing that.

It stems from a much larger problem on this site overall, namely that most posters here can't comprehend anonymity and attribute different posts to the same poster. On /ic/ his manifests as retards seeing shit art in /beg/ and assuming they're all posted by the same people.
>>3093801
It's less that and more a simple logistics issue. If you finally "git gud", gud enough to drawfag on other boards or work on your own art or make commissions, why the FUCK would anyone waste their time staying on /ic/? This is why most of the "experts" on /ic/ are either antisocial autists who have the talent but lack the social skills to make it in the art world, attention whores who have an intense desire for praise or some other similar personality defect that keeps them on /ic/ despite their successes (temporarily), or NGMIs spewing actual bullshit.
