Basically this would be a thread dedicated to giving beginner tips on drawing. I'll start off:
When studying a specific thing like hands, make sure you start by drawing from imagination first, that way you immediately know what things you need to focus on when doing the study.

Awesome thread, thanks for making it! Nice advice, OP! I've never thought of that. It'll be very useful in my future studies.
I only have beginner-level advice.
>With arms at sides: the elbows align with the waist, wrists align with the crotch, and fingertips align with the middle of the thigh.
>If you're having trouble with stiff poses, first draw the hands and feet where you want them to go and then draw the rest of the body.
>If you're having trouble with making up poses, pick an action for your character to do then make them do it (ex. making tea, writing a letter, etc.).
>If you're having trouble with drawing too-large heads, first draw the rest of the body, starting with the torso or hips.
Volume beats perfection. Don't treat everything you do as though it will end up framed and politely complimented let alone even seen. Everything is transitory. Work fast and with purpose. Don't erase, move on to the next thing instead.
If you're doing digital: Mirror your canvas. It gives you a new perspective on the drawing and allows you to see any flaws easier.

You can do it with traditional by holding your paper in front of a mirror. Or the light.
Or you can get a lightbox.
try to draw another things, not just human bodies, for example: your breakfast (the full table where your eat) for this only sketching it
if you want get better in painting technique, try to paint 3D figures, you can repaint some tiny toys, this makes your brain active at recognize the volume, color light/shadow and learning the basics of paint
try to re draw the same thing, especially when your commit errors, not just erase the error, try to re draw all and correct the errors in it, not just copy-paste, make it again better
Study composition... please, I saw only floating bodies everywhere... use the background or make a scene with your characters, this make your work a little better
>Fibonacci is a great start at composition

Warming up helps immensely. 30-60 second gestures, a few freehand boxes in perspective, even just circles/ellipses. It really helps me get into the flow state when I start drawing for real.
