Yes but I stopped taking complex commissions because my surface pro 2 died. I bought a laptop and a cintiq pro 13 with what I got with my first 4 months of taking commissions. I'm currently waiting for them. Thankfully I have a full time job so I'll be fine at least in that regard.

I think you have enough skill, but better composition/panelling could help you out. The bottom right panel's not working for me, mostly because she looks like she's at the dentist instead of sucking a dick. Maybe adding a silhouette at 40% opacity might help.

The paneling and shading makes this look more like a horror scene than something erotic. Additionally, the the transitions in 3,4 and 5 feel very jumpy. I think your art is decent enough for porn, but you should work on your storytelling.
Read some hentai mango and study it. How do the authors pace out the sex scenes? How do they escalate the eroticism as the characters approach climax? How do they use camera angles and framing to create mood?

Does anyone else ever struggle with mimicking ONE's style of drawing faces. Like the overly simplistic eyes and all that can sometimes bother me more than more detailed faces.

for example, here I couldn't get the super simple eyes so I had to "upgrade" them just to make it not look like trash.

Nevertheless, chickenscratch is bad for your wrist is more difficult to create clean lineart from. Do yourself a favor and make drawing cleaner sketches into a habit.

Not the other guy, but your lines ARE scratchy, particularly around the contour of the face. Sure, loose sketches have a lot of exploratory lines, but yours feel more haphazard and don't feel like they're conveying ideas or solutions. The v-neck and shoulders are especially egregious.

Anyway, best sketches don't need entirely clean lines. A good sketch is supposed to capture fluidity or ideas that filter down to the final drawing.

Nico Marlet's underdrawings/sketches are pure energy and he refines that in the final drawing:

I have a question even though im a beginner but I thought this would be the best place. How could an artist that strives to draw in the style of Takeshi Koike ie simplified hard shadows, represent fine details of skin, like goose bumps or peach fuzz? My understanding is that art styles are used as a kind of short hand for reality and my favorite part of about women is their skin but I wanna draw like Takeshi Koike yet I cant think of a short hand way to represent finer details in human skin, specifically human female skin. Also things like dew collecting on a surface.

As you continue to draw, freehanding perspective and making it look good will get a lot easier. If you look closely enough, some of the perspective in these sketches would probably look off in some way or another, because he wasn't aiming for 1000% accuracy.

I have this problem too anon... I look at Jake Wyatt works and think it's fantastic, the line economy he does is really effective. When I try to mimic his style it looks really bad and I end up doing my own "heavy" detailed stuff which looks ok, but is not what I'm aiming for.

He also effectively uses a low number of curved lines in his drawings, most are straight, which is another thing I'm failing to mimic.

That's what I mean, it's not a glaring issue but it does distract your attention for a moment; the nipple-seeking eye will notice, so it creates an unnecessary tangent. It's true that it clearly isn't meant to be her nipple, but hypothetically it could be if the artist didn't know how to draw or place the nipple.

Hello all!
I've been working on this face for a few good hours, but I think there's some issues that I'm missing that I wanted to check with others.

I know I gotta work on the jawline and chin, which I'm sketching and reshaping the line for, and I think I made the nose a little too small and need to rework the nostrils. Some of the shading looks off too, but that'll be reworked with the facial structure changes.

If there's anything else that anyone can point out or see, please don't hesitate!

Your method of shading is not too pleasing- you should blend some of those shadows together more smoothly. Think about shading in bigger shapes first before you start noodling around with little strokes all over.

The sense of light is weak as well , as I can't really tell where the light source is. Looks like she's lit from the top right, but the arm on the left is being lit from above, and there also seems to be backlighting with the same light on her torso, but nowhere else.

I'm not that same anon who talked about the colors, but the lack of contrast you feel is probably related to the bad lighting. It feels washed out because it looks like you're shading each part of the body individually, instead of thinking of the whole character. This ends up creating a weird 50-50 light vs dark pattern throughout the piece, which is very boring.

In terms of color, usually skin has a bit of red in it. Think about using warm lights and cool shadows to create some contrast and variety in color, as right now the color you use for her skin feels almost white, which is very boring. You also need to consider things like cast shadows and bounce light to make it even more interesting.
