What the hell happened to these? My local art store use to sell them for 6 to 8 dollars, but now their gone and they cost around 25 bucks online.

There's an alternative brand that's come out now, I've seen them at my local art store. I'll swing by and take a picture of them to see what brand they are.

You guys should learn how to use this bad girl, and only use the Tuff Stuff for minute details and erasing. If you're depending too much on your Tuff Stuff for ALL erasing, you're going about it all wrong, I think.

You can chisel, fine point and overall round off the Staedler to any need you need it for.

If you are looking for a detail eraser, I use these faber castell eraser pencils, I get them at Hobby Lobby. The disadvantaged compared to the Tuff Stuff erasers is these have to be sharpened, were TS is faster with clicking. You can get these Faber Castells sharpened to a sharp point, which is fucking awesome when I work on small size commissions.

Same here. I only use my Tuff Stuff for really small details, and that's lasted me for a good while now.
