God, why do people make these stupid stylistic decisions?
Looks like they just gave up on drawing real hands.
everything about that disgusts me,
the shitty stylistic choices
the bland figure placement
the fucking abhorrent character design
the subject matter and its philosophies
the idea that the individual personality traits of the writer and the characters are supposed to have value simply for their uniqueness
its all fucking cancerous.

why do all these shitty comics have no point ther than 'look, these guys are gay arent I such an inclusive artist?'

i hate everything about that bullshit comic BUT the hands.
4 finger hands are just as expressive as 5 finger ones without becoming overcomplicated. it has been a valid stylistic choice for ages.

Because the authors are dA level bad at writing so they can't actually flesh out a human being without having one trait dominate the entire character.
>he's gay SO THATS ALL I CAN FOCUS ON LOOK HES GAY IM PRO-LGBTQIA+++ #PRIDE

Simsons did it and it worked, so did Micky mouse and a few others. It's just a popular thing to do.
It's reduction of detail, to fit with the rest of the drawing. The same way comic or animated characters don't have super detailed faces, that principle apllied to hands means they lose a finger. It still reads as a hand and is able to express hand gestures, but it's not as cluttered.
It probably does work better with non-human characters though, or it looks weird when the rest of the drawing is still too detailed in comparison.

As an artist you have to have a certain degree of design sensibility, you can't just look at popular cartoons who did it and think that makes it universally a good design choice. It clearly works for consistently heavily stylized figures like Mickey and the Simpsons, but doesn't work in any way whatsoever for the style that artist was doing. If you can't see that, you are beyond hope.
Why do you care? What's the point of this shitty thread?

>one trait dominate the entire character.
how do you know? have you read this comic? cause i have no idea what the fuck it's even called.
i think it's shit, but it exists, which means it's better than my comic

> The hands and not the strabism, the Dobson coloring or how his glasses are phasing through his hair
That's the least of his issue but even if he had 99 problems, our opinion ain't one. Post User-created artwork or delete this thread.
