Is largely correct. With decent/good skills that done stand out, your prices are around 50-125, if you do good backgrounds.
For thta, you may as well stick with drawing humans, as you don’t need to learn how2furry.
If you get popular or have a good style, you can have higher prices. But it’s the same work.

I see what you mean. I guess it's because I'm not that much of a furry myself, I tend to tone it down a lot and basically just draw slightly animal-themed people.

I'll try commiting to more exaggerated non human shapes for the next one, see if that gets the fun bucks rolling in.

Not to mention keep practicing gesture because jfc my work is still so stiff and flat. I'm hoping I can make a bit of cash even now while I'm still pretty amateurish by appealing to the furries. I hope their standards really are as (relatively) low as /ic/ says.

If you want to appeal to furries, you need to let go of your preferences or market yourself as a ThunderCats fanartist.
Furries are easy to please. A lot of the time, (almost always) they really admire an animal’s face. For example, some might like really long slender snouts like on a greyhound. They find them feminine and aesthetically pleasing. If you draw a pug, they’ll dislike it. Pugs aren’t cute to most people. Human faces have about as much snout as a pug. Draw something cute.
Also, while I’m using this example, how much western furry porn do you stumble across that feature animals with flat faces? How much anthro monkey porn? It’s very low. How often do you find characters with no fluff or scales outside of the few sea mammal pics? No tail?
Humanoid feet/legs seems to be going lower in popularity unless you have a very toon style, like Warner Bros or do the Thundercats thing.

Drawing furry porn isn’t as easy as people make it seem if you don’t bother learning the market.

It’s like trying to sell anime waifus to weebs, but insisting on drawing 90% like Marvel.

Watch the eyes, they're not really following any true form but even if you're pasting on animu eyes you might want to not make them so symmetrical, especially not on both the X and the Y axis

Look up some how-to-draw-eyes tutorials and pay special attention to just the first step or two where they block in the general shape of the eye
