PS or SAI for 2d art?

PS is terrible at linework, good for painting, textures and post production. Sai is the exact opposite.

You can make the same summary for every software and deduce how suitable it is for you.

Photoshop is for photos. And not for anything else. It's for post production/editing.
SAI is better than it but ultimately it depends on your style.
I'd say if you are gonna get something for 2D, try manga studio,SAI or Firealpaca. Krita is shit

Ive been using ps but wondering if i should have been using sai this whole time

Just because it was designed with editing/photos in mind doesn't mean it can't be used for anything else, and most of the digital artists that are wanked over by /ic/ use PS.

The general opinion among advanced digital artists is that CSP is definitely better than SAI or PS for anime/2d stylized art though. Many of the Jap artists I follow use it and it gives a more polished look than SAI which tends to be used by beg tier deviantart users and PS which is hard to figure out unless you're a concept artist. Krita I haven't used but it crashes frequently on Windows and I'm pretty sure it's geared to Linux users.

Is it? I've just created an opaque brush that gradually shifts into a a smudge brush with pressure, so I can paint both hard and soft edges in a single stroke.
Good luck replicating that shit in csp or Firealpaca.
