Consider the fact that the Art Directors run every project, some artistic license isn't up to the artist during the project unless you're one of the famous artists like Craig Mullins or Brom.

Jaime isn't even a Mullins clone. He was obviously very influenced by Mullins early on but he has developed his own style. I would never confuse their work. Jaime is much more about elegant shapes and the brushwork, whereas Mullins sort of bring in a brute force "ugliness" to his markmaking that somehow turns out beautiful due to his insane knowledge of contrasts and lighting/texture/form. I think too Jaime is stronger at figures whereas Mullins is better at perspective and environmental lighting and has decades extra experience over Jaime. Bother are masters of the craft though.

If you want to complain of a Mullins ripoff then talk about someone like Supalette's old work, or LiXin Yin's entire body of work.

Lots of people are still influenced by Mullins. He just doesn't post on any social media so isn't as much visible as whatever popular artist posts on instagram every day. Also those people changed their styles because they've been doing art for over a decade and that's what happens when you begin to mature as an artist. So many illustrators began by copying other people's styles before moving onto their own. Rockwell copied Leyendecker's style, Cornwell copied Dunn etc
