It's not political, since all parties (especially on tumblr) like porn.

In the email I got they linked to their general posting guidelines, where they use words like "fucking," despite the fact that any little kid could read it, so "protection of the innocent is out.

They're owned by Yahoo, so maybe it's some top-down corporate decision, but I can't see any way that this won't hurt Tumblr's business model.

How do I know if my blog is explicit?

Sometimes I draw something suggestive but never any nudity.

Not even. Site builders exist and you can even do hosting through them. It's SO easy to make your own website these days and hosting is not expensive at all. There's definitely an art to programming. It's easy to be a decent programmer and have a code monkey career, but it takes a certain mindset to get to the next level, much like with regular art, not everyone has it. Programming is very much a creative discipline at the high level.
Also I never learned anything worth a shit about programming in school beyond standard terminology for things. I did 99% of my learning outside of school. That's why I did computer engineering, because I wanted to do circuits and microcontroller shit. Had I wanted to be a career programmer I wouldn't have gone to college at all.

In regards to this "Targeted NSFW Tag", what's fucking wierd in my case is I have a completely covered NSFW account and all of it is tagged as NSFW accordingly. But strangely only one of them got that "Targeted" tag and I was confused why only that one got that when my entire blog is NSFW. I thought it was because I forgot to tag it as NSFW (but I thought I actually did though) and it was added afterwards, but it doesn't explain why none of my other work got the tag.
