Slightly unrelated note.
Wasn't there a story about Miyazaki being drunk and complaining about what's wrong with loving girls?
>Shadman is my favorite artist

Hi. My name is Norm Normie. My favorite artists are Pikkaso, Vango, Michel D'angelo, Mona Lisa, Monay, Clint, and some other artists I also saw in the poster bin at Wallmart whos names I can't remember right now.
>>3045036
Madonna was also a pretty good artist. I liked her soup cans.
>>3044904
>I want to be a concept artist , my influences are : Shaddy Safadi, Maciej Kuciara, Feng Zhu ohh and Craig Mullins.
I this one of those I hate popular artists threads?
Boringueau can be lame and kitsch af But he was really skilled and a master nonetheless stop the hate
>>3045457
not really because bouguereau isn't a very popular artist
Bougereau is a phase on the way to art appreciation.
>>3044920
i thought miyazaki hated lolicons?
>>3045488
miyazaki is pretty clearly a bundle of unresolved issues
>>3044914
the tv and movie industry is filled to the brim with pedos.
nickelodeon especially
I'd be impressed if a normie even knew who Bouguereau was. I can see him being censored by the art community today for his portrayal of underaged girls in "compromising" situations often times and his obsession with the female figure. Some of his stuff is real cookie cutter but he's an impressive artist.

This.

Next to Klimt and Mucha he is like the most displayed artist on those posters you hang on the walls of your room. Get outside sometimes and look at those sections in book stores.
If Bouguereau hadn't gone to the Catholic college in Pons to study the priesthood, he would have never learned to draw like Ingres. Isn't that funny? You try your damndest to become a priest in post-Napoleonic France, and you wind up churning out these fleshpots!

>>Bouguereau is my favorite artist
it's all about those Fine Art lolis
>>3045699
His tweenagers still look like Victorian street urchins though.... only his women are well dressed. It's an interesting contrast with British art of the same era, French art isn't as grand as it was before but Bouguereau's Art benefits from the newfound modesty. Alma-Tadema never lacked grandiosity and for that reason I prefer his environments to Bouguereau's.
>>3045583
/pol/ really loves Bouguereau
>>3044904
more artists like this plox
>>3046130
Like Ryan Gosling? I'd say Tom Felton could fit well in most of Gosling's roles.
>>3045698
hey, I was an (orthodox) church boy for over 10 years too and guess what I draw today

Antromorphic charachters having gay sex.
People like to shit on him, because it is an old meme to defame him started by Picasso and some Impressionists.

Good book, even if ideals it teaches are barely applicable in modernity, when you can no longer rent an attic in Paris and still live and paint on a few apples and egg a day. It's a shame very few people actually read it.
>>3049667
On par with Hemingway's autobiographical prose, makes me miss the old times, when the world and people didn't competely rot.
>>3044914
/ourguy/ ?

Oh wow Stacy! That's very nice. I love the colours.

I feel like masturbating to that picture, but in a non sexual way. The beauty itself within that picture is a major turn on, much more than whatever that woman is hiding behind that cloth.
Anyone feels the same?
Just.. look at the belly, the stretching skin on her ribs. Maybe if art didn't become so decadent in the past century, we'd have a culture where things like pornography is about the involvement of the entire body and possibly soul, not just the genitals.
