Along these anons joking lines: it often helps for me, even it it's just a little bit, if the artist is a bit more faceless to really get into the work on its own. It's silly, and not that important if you already follow a person for longer amounts of time, but still happens. If i saw your work alone i would've guessed you were a grill.

Your works are good, people don't follow you because they don't know you even exist. If you want to gain lots of followers not being a famous god of drawing you have to be active and use jeneric tips of promoting an instagram account till you get to the point of no return, when they start subscribe you themselves seing you in tops and suggestions of other users. Consider your instagram being a business project, not your blog.

Try drawing more interesting backgrounds and scenes. As far as I can see it seems every single picture is just some generic woman standing/sitting there, not doing anything interesting.

So, he basically draws the same thing that a significant portion of women draw.
At first glance, I would have guessed he was a woman, based on the huge amount of still portrays of cutesy girls. I don't know why, but women love to draw portraits while ignoring everything else, which often leads to the odd phenomenon where they can draw semi-professional looking faces from the same two or three angles, but can't draw a body to save their life.

I don't know if you're actually the artist, or someone trying to get /ic/ to shit on this artist, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
The reason people don't follow you, is because they don't have a reason to. You're somewhat competent and your style is somewhat appealing, but what you're drawing is just dull. They're just portraits and vague concept sketches. There's no personality on dispaly, no interaction between character, no scenes that tell a story.

Now, what you could do is make more interesting art, or you could pretend to be a girl with mental problems or big tits, and write shitty little stories about your life to go alongside each picture. That should boost your numbers.

usually I relate female artists with more focus on fashion/makeup aspects of the female form, and less on the "fuckable" aspect of the female form. Also some degree of cute animals often show up. Images tend to be more colorful.

Obviously that's a factor, but there's no shortage of female artists who like to draw sexy women.
There's also a huge overlap between the interest in fashion/makeup and the sexualization of the female form. I mean, look at how young women dress. Look at the celebrities they obsess over. It's not men who follow and support slags like Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Ariana Grande. It's mostly women.

Even gays often have an interest in the female form. Just look at the proportion of gay men in the fashion industry, and how they make icons out of female pop stars. The vast majority of fashion designers (who love to show skin) and people who follow fashion trends are once against women and gay men. It's only when you cross into hardcore, heterosexual porn that you'll mostly find (with some notable exceptions) straight men.
