Anyone working on any pottery or ceramics related work?

Yes, always. I'm making mugs and trying to elevate my handle skills. I don't want to post any now though.
Ceramics is a tough medium.

No, but I'm thinking about getting into it. I just really cant be fucked signing up for some $70 class with a bunch of middle aged women so I have no idea where to start. Also I'd have to fire in an electric or gas kiln and everyone knows all the best pots come from wood firing

What do you find to be the toughest parts besides posting photos right-side up and trimming feet?

$70 is cheap as shit for a class. I used to run classes for $250 and I was cheaper than everybody else in my area. Protip: sign up for an evening class to have younger students.
And that's fucking bullshit about wood kilns. Every type of kiln can do fantastic things better than the other types.

It's like a one off introductory class or something, $250 is even more unobtainable if that's what a class goes for. I just need a studio space or something and learn off youtube videos, but then I'd have to take pots somewhere else to fire. Seems like a huge waste to blow all this cash on beginner throwing, would make more sense to get to an intermediate level and then have someone tell you where you're going wrong
Not a bad idea to take evening class I guess

Fair enough. Teaching newbies is pretty boring, too, especially when you have to be all Bob Ross to push 1/3 of them to get over the first skill plateau because it's the first time they couldn't do something on their first attempt.
I'd say watch a bunch of different people because everybody works a little bit differently. Got a wheel? Get less noob, then take a class to rape their kilns.

Is it mandatory to be a life coach when teaching? If they don't have the motivation to improve then fuck it

You suck ass
