Digital art noob here.What's the coloring technique that is used here? I'm talking about using slightly different colors to express a lot with very little, It's most obvious on the chest plate (and even using the same technique to for extreme detail, like on the helmet).
It's the same way most concept art looks, so it must be a common way to do it.

The technique is most obvious on the right leg, just start from that and keep blending from there and you're good.

So they start with the "mush" and then add more colors and blend them.. You can sorta see it on the belt too, how it starts. Nice, thank you.
