Your fundies need improvement but don't reject the way you use colors, they give your paintings a lot of personality. When you use values right (>>3037538 isn't very good, I'm sure greyscale would be rather flat) like in >>3037506 the colors really shine and give your stuff a lot of personality.

If you care about criticism: I'll go by the worst stuff I see on your DA and say that you need formal perspective BADLY, more than your need to work on color or anatomy. You work a lot with perspective but I'm 100% you just wing it. Do thumbnails of your paintings instead and then use a perspective grid to build up the full piece. Thumbnails will also help you with values, you're gonna need if you want to keep the bright complementary palette. GL

Can confirm that actually having a piece in mind and spending 30+ hours on it is really good and I chased my tail for too long trying to grind and grind until I reached this magical place where I thought I'd be good enough for a finished drawings. If you start now and fill in the gaps in your knowledge it's definitely a good way to go

i’m no expert, but i can speak conversational japanese. 人 usually means a human or an earthling, even an animal animated character. you used 歴史の食べる人, which would mean 'eating person/eater of histories' 'of' as an origin.
1. you could change the particle no to wo: 歴史を(wo)食べる人 would mean eater of histories (lit . person, that eats histories). 歴史を食べる means 'to eat the history'.
2. what i'd probably stick with would be 歴史喰い (rekishigui) = eater of histories, not necessarily a human being.
wow, this explanation sucks, sorry. ask some natives for their opinions, it’s always faster then figuring stuff for hours yourself.
