So I'd like to make a thread to help those who are starting out in their roads to artistry.
Sharing techniques, methods, equipment's to use, tutorials, etc. would be greatly appreciated in being revealed.
I'll be honest, I'm making this as I'm an individual who would be categorized as one of these people. My basic skills in imagination to draw is awful, from scratch, my drawings are probably worse than a 5 year olds (but I've got incredible copying and editing abilities(show me a photo, and I could copy it well when not looking at it)). I really like doodling and drawing, but I'm not getting anywhere. (but I can draw one hell of a TopHat)
So advice would be greatly helpful.
You mean like a beginner thread? Good idea!
Oh, shoot! Someone already come up with that idea! >>3032574
Darn it! Who woulda thunk, huh?!
Go and read the sticky, then go to the beginners thread.

Wait, you made that top hat? Cause it is indeed a nice design.
Seconding sticky, would like to add still lifes as a good practice for beginners:

If you want to draw from imagination: construction and perspective, dude. Don't know a good guide for that online though (as in, general guide. For humans: Loomis.)

I think op meant this more as a thread for sharing resources and advice
This tutorial covers everything one would want to know to begin illustrating:

This interview with Steve Huston was nearly life changing for me:

Na, didn't draw it, greatly inspired though. Its from a Youtubers logo who I really like. Just liked drawing it so I inevitably got really good at it....somehow.
