Edgy, community college art class bullshit.

Ok. thanks for the feedback, mate
I only like the first one
>>3033520
That's definitely the one I spend the most time on. Glad you like it. Cheers.
The first one looks pretty nice.
The second and third look rough.
The fourth and fifth, I like them because they look spooky, I don't really know what to say about them. the fifth one reminds me of Todd Howard.

Same. OP try reading Fundamentals of Drawing by Mogilevtsev
>>3033532
I'll check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!

Save it, it's all yours my friend :)
All I can say is that I like them. I'm too tired to say much else...
You got a good style going with interesting subject matter that's atypical of /ic/ but you need to hone your drawing skills. That will send your work to a whole other level. I'd suggest more life drawing.
If this is all charcoal, you should also look into employing more soft edges in your work. Pic related as Aron Wiesenfeld makes some pretty fine charcoal works with good edge control.

Not the OP, but do you have any other artists who work edge control in charcoal to share? I've been struggling with using charcoal because of how I overwork the paper and start to lose the stark white of the paper, plus being unable to work as refined as with graphite.

You can do detail work in charcoal if you put a nloneaded eraser to a fine point and dab away charcoal carefully and use a sharpened charcoal stick by rubbbing it agains sandpaper

the faces are a common weakness throughout. Your lines are too thick I think, you need more tact. Abit of delicacy wouldnt go astray.

The shading is overpowering and lacking in subtlety. It's not pleasant to look at actually and takes away from the dark atmosphere you're trying to convey. I think the pictures would look many times better with soft shading and cleaner work, with small indications of the rough texture here and there rather than all over.

Overall, shading is overpowering. First 3 images lack depth because of this.
Final two images are arguably the best because of their lack of focused detailing. Leads to more of a viewer-piece interaction. I'm searching for meaning in those, whereas the first 3 really don't provide that.

Interesting. Good point. I'll keep that in mind

next time resize your images to atleast 1000pixs
ffs anon...

This guy, though not unknown is still under-appreciated imo. He deserves to be famous.
