Challenges was never the highlight of CA, it was the people posting there who eventually became industry pros and the friendly competition. A meaningless challenge

#1 reason we're not like conceptart.org is that we're on 4chan. Anonymity and atmosphere of the website are not anywhere near as good.

#2 reason, and this is the reason most sites weren't as good as conceptart - it was started by professional artists or professional level artists so the overabundance of high quality art in the gallery scared regular people away from posting there.

The more actually skilled artists you have, the more actually good advice you'll get, and also the more quality it will attract. It also sets the bar high for people who aren't as skilled, to only post their very best work.

Make a vague description that would fit a profile for something, makes sure it's non-licenced work (or if it is, don't do it for a brand of notorious copycat jews - blizzard, riot, etc... are all bad choices, why not choose a dead studio like Westwood or Rare?), post your own work while doing it.
