Also, I wanted to add that if you are more /cgl/ tier, and enjoy sculpture, consider making fursuits. There is a constant demand for them and all the popular experienced fursuit makers make $2,500+ per suit. There are so few fursuit makers, that you really just need to start posting and you'll get customers. No need to be in the fandom, but it's a lot easier. The biggest negative is that there might be a high barrier to entry skill, and money wise initially.

Right now the Kemono style is getting really popular, and there aren't really any good western fursuit makers filling the niche. Could be profitable if anyone is interested.
