Motherfucker we already have a question thread.
I don't fucking know.

It's in the sticky in the beginner thread.

the link has expired

you're better off not in them
it's a circlejerk where praised works (if posted and replied to anonymously) would be torn apart on /ic/ itself
>>3028397
im really just tired of being told "loomis this" and "loomis that" without anything else being said
Yes of which 40% is porn posting from 1 person (you know who), 50% circlejerking, 5% art, 5% gossip. - /ic/
LAS server- dare I say it
The other adult servers - redmatsumoto spam
spin-off pseudo anime server - circlejerking/ticking time bomb waiting to go off as usual

how much will you pay for detailed, indepth critique
it's all time away from working on my own art
Usernames defang 4chan users.
So no, there will never be a good /ic/ discord

Try going through Loomis, though, it's pretty good.

Loomis is great, but he's not the sole answer for all your artist woes. If anything just let him be one of many sources you learn from. I know some personal discords, but honestly,
I don't think /ic/ is exactly the best environment for development.
I really recommend schoolism if you have the money, that way it's a mentored class and you're getting critique from professionals. There's some some other really cool programs that also offer mentorships and guided classes like the Oatley Academy run by Chris Oatley and a bunch of other cool people. Just do your research and see what you like.
Make art friends and network. Go on social media, go out and see if there's like draw lunches and stuff. If you can develop that nice inner circle of friends who you think are good, and won't just feed your ego by not offering legit critique I think you'll be able to grow faster.
If you like /ic/, by all means don't stop, but branch out and try to make friends all over. Not only do you have the potential to learn faster, but you also might make meaningful connections that could lead to work in the future.

Artists: Making hard things sounds easy ever since God said, "Let there be light."

but discord links do

People just take it as easy. Really artists are just stating it as it is.
