Is there anything I can do to start drawing like this?

photobash. the majority of artists today photobash heavily, I was disgusted by the amount that a freelance artist friend of mine photobashed, and when I asked him about it he said he learned it in art school and it's practically the standard now.

Photobashing is definitely common in at least some parts of the pipeline for sure, but I wouldn't say the majority of artists use it. Also the guys in the industry who use photobashing didn't get good by doing it, they only use it as a tool to speed things up. You don't learn much by doing it.

Obviously, as opposed to using it to awkwardly trace MS paint comics over? The point is these people can't construct a scene organically, if I asked him to build the composition using three point perspective it'd look like garbage. But that's not an issue really, because nowadays with all the tools and photos readily available, a lot of mediocre people can create seemingly great works doing simple paintovers. The OPs pic being one of them, his question being my point.
