You're improving, keep at it - lose the signature though. You don't have to sign every sketch and doodle, you'll probably not want anyone to even see these sketches when you reach high levels.

But if you don't care if they are seen, that's good too, humility is awesome in fact, but lose the signature it's the sign of an amateur.

Try to keep your signature for either finished works you intend for gallery, or only if you have to (like if you're working for a concept art gig you have to sign name and date.)

Also if you want to improve like a monster, practice the HECK out of perspective, forget learning anatomy or being perfect about knowing your subject matter - learn the HECK out of anatomy, and study on your own 'what makes something look appealing/good' the answer is contrast. Which is achieved through many ways (long vs short detail vs space, proportions etc.)

Then study objects (like anatomy) peripherally. But you can always use reference.

Ok well I guess it's time to go back into my cave and start drawing again.

As someone who has been on the Internet from near the beginning of the net as YOU know it (ie: web pages which only came out 1992ish when html was invented) I can say with fair confidence, that despite what nostalgia tells people, 4chan has barely changed since it's beginning.

It will always be 'edgy' and full of rude and 'edgy' comments because 80% of it's userbase are 12-18 year olds. Then there a few slightly older people who just act like they are that young to fit in and not get trounced on, there's 1 or 2 genuinely stunted growth people who still act 12 at an older age because they really are psychologically stuck there, then there are a small handful of real adults, who aren't afraid to be mature. Those people may speak up, or may remain hidden, at their own discretion.

And yes, there is a certain amount of the userbase who started as 'edgy' teens and grew up because 4chan is a relatively older site, so a part of the userbase actually grows up.

The part that grows up can decide to continue being 'edgy' for any of the above reasons I gave - pretending to fit in, genuinely stunted in growth, etc. or they may choose to give it up. 'sheesh I'm too old for this garbage' and just stop replying to the 'edgelords' or maybe decide to lurk more, post less, or whatever.
