How to escape from uncanny valley in art?

I know what this is. I think she's beautiful.
It's all in the eyes.

the left pic looks weird, but the right pic throws me. there is just enough imperfection, that at first glance it looks real.
I dunno in my mind they both don't look "human" enough so my brain just thinks it's artificial rather than a "creepy thing"

Uncanny valley doesn't apply to 2d art.

That's just what Asians look like, man, they have very shallow faces.
I agree that the first one gives off that Uncanny Valley vibe. Maybe it's because she's just staring soulessly and emotionlessly as well as not focusing on anything. Very unnatural.

I might be a retard for being fooled for like 10 seconds. Or is that a compliment to the state of 3D now?

3d has gotten really good.
3d animation is as bad as ever.
I find it funny how the left one is the real one when she looks fake as fuck.

they're both fake, retard. this person doesn't exist.

Why?

multiple imperfections throughout the entire piece (and even visible brush strokes) help separate it from reality to the point where no matter how well you draw it, out brain still registers it as a drawing and lets it get away with lots of shit. it's not uncanny, it's stylistic
