As for the chromatic aberration, Kaneoya Sachiko's art tends to have, for lack of a better word, and intoxicated feeling to it, and it really complements the work.
Like there's an air of depravity, unease, or a violent sexual undertone, especially when it's that male character she draws all the time. Always been a fan, her work really stands out.

because it makes you wonder what the story is behind the picture. in a uniform, looking at the audience, the shading and bold dark colors give it a solemn mood. but she's smiling, it's not a nice smile, it's more of a smirk as she questions you. that's what I got out of the picture.

Sachiko's work makes me sad. There's an undercurrent of sexual repression and resentment IMO. Like a resentment over lost innocence. It has soul to it, which is something I hope would be said about my own work someday.
