I've tried doing this myself, but at a certain point I struggle to see my brush/cursor. I really wanna draw with thinner lineart but trying gives me a headache. My eyesight is already very poor.
1. bigger screen
2. cintiq
that's my guess only, I'm using a small intuos draw and I have to zoom in a lot more than I see in youtube speedpaintings.

That's more for painting than drawing. When you're painting you're thinking more in terms of light and masses and precisions is less important. Obviously you won't be able to produce accurate lineart if you work on a thumbnail sized document window. If you just want to do a rough lay in then again absolute precisions isn't as important. I often squint or cross my eyes slightly to see the big picture rather than the details.
And no cintiqs or bigger screens have literally nothing to do with it. Any regular size monitor is just fine.
