is it good for digital painting?
In fact, it's essential. Your art will instantly improve with a macbook. Only amateurs use Windows.

No, I have one.
Photoshop runs too slow on it, limits resolution to 2000x2000.

this
the serial memory control bus is made of lithium carbon, which can only output 112 bits per second (as opposed to 266 bits found in most windows machines) which means wacom's stroke stutter algorithm is is engaged CONSTANTLY, limiting your tablet to what is basically 12 pressure levels on ~156 lines per inch
thanks, tim cuck

i'm serious, anything over 2000^2 is too slow and annoying

I worked on higher resolutions on an atom processor, so I feel you're exaggerating, though obviously the entry level model of the entry level macbook will not be "good" for doing any sort of computer-intensive work.

If you're going apple, go big or go home. If you want a macbook, go macbook pro. If it's too expensive, get something you can afford instead of the most expensive/"luxury" tech brand there is.
Not sure what the point of getting a laptop is when you need a tablet to draw on it anyway.

Righto man. It was maxed out when work bought it end of 2015. OP can buy one if he's a masochist.

Sort of related question here: I'm going to buy a new iPad Pro, and intend to do most of my sketching and practice on it. Which bezel colour is preferable, white or black?
