Your problem is more working with amateurs, going to Fiverr and /ic/ (/ic/ is for LEARNING art).
What you got is actually $50. Cheap artist! The art I make is around $500 usually. Sakimichan's rates are about the same and her quality is higher than mine if she still does gigs. Plus if you pay extra she might give you a shout-out which will lead to a HUGE boost in podcast downloads.

You're better off getting personal references.

Not really, I was suggesting that you look for artists that look appealing to you and then check or ask them if they do commissions.

Look around Deviant Art for people with open commissions. You'll get some people who are actually good/okay but undercharging. I used to charge around $8 (so £6) for shaded fullbodies like this before I realised I could charge more when some of my clients gave me $30-40 tips on PayPal and told me I wasn't charging enough. Huge confidence boost at the time.

If you go to the #animegirl tag or something similar, search by most popular you'll eventually come across someone with open commissions and decent rates.

If you do find someone, don't be the guy that guilt trips the artist about how much they're charging. Even if you're unhappy with your previous commission from Fiverr, it's not the new artist's problem to deal with/accommodate. Have had a few experiences with clients trying to weasel their way out of now paying as much/trying to barter with me and it's not nice. Good luck finding someone.

Did you not see their art beforehand or something? I can tell from a glance that this style isn't worth $20, so I don't know how you actually got roped into buying it. Try scouring dA, commiss.io, or maybe the /aco/ commission thread. You're bound to find a decent artist with a sale going on eventually.

Sketches tend to be like that. When you add lineart and coloring the sketch tends to warp out of its original drawing. It's a common mistake for begginers

If she's supposed to be a mascot, have her pose *after* a win or loss. Or sit her down so she can actually lean forward without losing balance, which gives you more freedom with body language. Good art comes from good ideas, and you went with the most boring one that doesn't lend itself to exaggeration.

It's not too bad, nothing a normie's eye could spot at least, but the other anon is right about her torso being a bit too short. Foreshortening and t-rex arms are a very common pitfall.
You can try to do the pose yourself and see how the legs fold around your body. Knees have a very limited range of motion, so watch out for that.

It's not perfect (I already said it was rushed/on a trackpad since I don't have my tablet handy) but if you can't see the glaring errors in her anatomy when put side by side you're blind. (Which was the entire purpose of the redline since I didn't have time to do a complete one).
Also your redline has huge ass arms wtf. The shoulders and head don't look right at all, that neck is ridiculously long. I don't really see how you think you have much room to talk.
