Has anyone ever done commissions while also working a full-time job?
My job requires that I actually think for it (i.e. not working at McD's) so that leaves me pretty tired after work, but I've always wanted to take art commissions, especially since I've been needing more money lately. Just wondering if anyone's had experience with this.

Just take as many as it is not overwhelming?
Considering you got a full time job that's also not slave labor, you must not be desperate for money.

Well I'm still a student in undergrad, so they have a cap on what they can pay me, and I also need money for tuition and room & board for next year.
Don't think about it too much. Take one commission. Just do that much. Maybe you'll love it!

I've worked freelance my entire career. I've had daytime career jobs, and taken commissions outside - you have to schedule your time carefully, and ask for enough time - where if I wasnt working, I'd ask for a week or two, while working I ask for longer.
One key for me was to only work 4 nights a week, and one weekend day/night, for scheduling. I only took one commission at a time.
Another key is that I've always drawn and painted in my free time anyway - I can't sit an watch tv, I have to be sketching or something while I do it.
I found working out and regular sleeping hours kept my stamina up, too.
Just be careful how much time you bid for commissions, and you should be okay. You should be able to dedicate 2-4 hours a night and still have time for living and relaxing and working out or whatever.
I do but it takes me longer time to finish
