Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew if it's possible to have 2 different graphic tablet brand drivers on one computer.
I have a cintiq that I use for drawing, I wanted to have a non display tablet to use while learning 3d modelling on zbrush because of where my cintiq is currently siting it's not very comfortable to stay in that position for so long.
I tried borrowing a friends old bamboo tablet but the drivers ran into problems with each other. So I was wondering if anyone here knew if there would be a similar problem if it were 2 different brands of graphic tablets. Or will I have to buy one and see what happens?
Thanks!
Wacom devices of the same tier/family can be installed on the same machine, using only one release driver. Ideally, this will be a Cintiq, paired with an intuos of that same generation or whatever the driver supports. The bamboo line and the intuos line ships with different driver sets.
Want to mix tablets of different brands? Tough Luck. For example, Huion ships their own WinTab.dll that directly conflicts with Wacom's WinTab.dll, so these two drivers can't co-exist. For OSX, I'm not sure if these restrictions exist and on linux, I personally know that these restrictions do not exist.
If you run a virtual machine it's possible. Look up tutorials, it's super easy to do.
Oh, I didn't know about the same family thing. I'll look into it. Thanks
