My best friend tries to make it with this, have you seen worse?
She also goes to artschool.
I'm sure when you post your own work, I'll have seen something worse.
>>2997073
my stuff is more simplified.
>>2997073
yes ive definitely seen worse, but ive also seen alot better on /ic/. not horrible, but the proportions of the hips to the thighs are very bad.
>>2997021
>She also goes to artschool.
lies, post proof.
>>2997089
she better than u senpai
>>2997092
Artschool in the netherlands is no big deal
You litteraly have to be able to hold a pencil and make 'modern art'
>>2997093
My other stuff :^)
>>2997097
still. Maybe you should be learning instead of shitposting :)
>>2997101
your taste is shit.
>>2997102
your shit, and you suck shit out of a straw.
wow you sure are a great friend, I hope she finds a new best friend
One of my friends really liked drawing, but they literally never tried past the point of literal stick figures and Undertale ocs. It got to the point where I felt a little awkward sharing my art with them because they pretty much ignored me just to shove more of their stuff in my face.
>>2997130
baited
>>2997021
>She also goes to artschool
So you're saying she's... learning? Don't you see the flaw in your reasoning. Come back when she finishes school and has a portfolio and search for a job.
>>2997021
looks like a shitpost but in case its not...
You're not much of a best friend if you're posting her actual work and making fun of her. However, her art does look bad but you say she's in art school for how long?1, 2 month/years? Beside we don't even know if she's improving or not in this artschool.
>>2997021
>talking shit of your "best friend" art on /ic/
i was (am?) friends with a furry artist who makes a shit ton of money through porn commissions. she was really sweet but i didn't find her work very good
>>2997095
Also from the Netherlands. Most artschools here are a fucking joke
>>2998141
Another Dutchie, and also attended art school. Art schools here are all a complete waste of time and I dropped out of it after a year, which was a good decision. I'm much better than my former classmates who did graduate.
>>2997021
Do you know what anon? At least hers has a charm. Throwing your friend under a bus for cheap laughs is a really unprofessional way to behave, don't be surprised if no one wants to work with you 5 years down the line, even if you do get "better"
>>2998141
And another Dutchie here. The Klassieke Academie in Groningen en Wackers in Amsterdam seem pretty legit art schools to me. Those aren't controlled by the government, so no stufi, but better quality output. I'm considering doing courses at Wackers at some point.

>>2998150 me again,
two years ago I went to the open day of Wackers because i've been looking around for proper art instruction, but from looking around there I honestly got the feeling that they are going the"fine art" direction as well. Heard a lot of bad things about Minerva and Groningen isn't an option for me anyway as Randstedeling. There's also Classic Art Atelier in Maarssen and I did an intake there but I was not convinced to actually enroll. Like, when I asked about lifedrawing I was told that they didn't have life models most of the time but worked with things like croquis cafe. Felt pretty unprofessional. I felt like I was out of options in our country so now I'm going to England in the summer to an actual atelier for three weeks. In addition, you might want to google atelier Sint Lucas in The Hague, I'm going there tomorrow for the first time to attend a lesson and see if I feel like I can learn something there.

Sorry, I don't know where I got the Minerva thing from, I meant De Klassieke Academie.
>>2998273
When you come back from it tomorrow, I would love to know your experience with Sint Lucas. I'm also a Randstedeling.

Will do if I can find this thread again.

You better find this thread again

Woo found it. Well, the course was exactly what I've been looking for all this time, since I've been wanting to learn oil painting techniques and things like building a painting in stages (starting with grissaile) like the old masters did. There were some very very impressive students, the work of one girl in particular blew me away, the others were -at least- intermediate. I attended the oil painting class because that's what I want to focus on since my drawing skills are at an okay level. There is also a course that's all about drawing but it's on a different day but it's probably geared towards building drawing skill as well. They had an asaro head and casts to draw from, and models of the basic shapes. You'll have to consider what you want to learn or focus on at this point. Overall I'm pleased with what I experienced and have high hopes for this.

Thanks for the little review. I've always been interested in getting into painting sometime, but the starting costs for it have been a little daunting to my broke self. Hope to see some of your results posted sometime.
>>2997097
Still much, much better than yours.
>>2997073
>>2997089
if you seriously draw like this and are in art school have fun getting no work lmao both are pure garbo lacking any artistic value. At least characters can be used for entertainment though yours is lacking, looks like you made it in snapchat with your finger which any rando can do.

This is why the ruling elite want to kill us.

I have a few good art friends but a few bad ones that I can't hate to break it to them:
Very shitty stick n poke tattoo artist that kind of gives me the creeps. Compliments me all the time for my art in a stalker kind of way, get very homosexo or psycho vibes from him so I avoid him.
Childhood friend who had potential. He taught me a lot about art and introduced me to a lot of underground stuff but he just never really gained the technical skill. We always drew together and made characters when we were younger, but then he just kind of stopped. Don't know if he just lost motivation or I shadowed him too hard? Also drew freaky vore and futa fetish porn of people we actually knew irl. Couldn't really see him the same way after that.
I changed my circle of art friends as I got better twice. Still hang out with some of the older friends, but most just lack ambition or skill. It's not that I cut ties because I surpassed them, but it's clear we have other interests. They are not (as) interested in learning and I can't learn anything anymore from them.

im so glad the majority of my art friends studied and grew alongside me
