Beauty is a subjective concept, it cant really be pinned down like math.
The closest we have to an objective idea of beauty is the general consensus of the human population, and regarding facial aesthetics, the average. Beyond that you can argue that craftsmanship and complexity makes something beautiful, but there are many things that fit these criteria that dont seem to count.
Its the old saying "i cant define it, but i know it when i see it"

Why waste time ranting? This shit "art is subjective" nonsense has infected a lot of art schools, too. Learning the fundamentals was rejected by the mainstream long before you were born. If you showed a current art student the curriculum from an art degree in the 40's, they'd break down in tears.

It's one of the reasons why art isn't respected as a career anymore, because "anyone can do it" assholes, and "It looks wrong because that's my style" cunts.

Focus on YOUR abilities, and YOUR style. And stop giving unasked for critiques. DA is the cesspool of the internet, art-wise, and is a waste of time.
