maybe I'm a little mad now
>>2984780
Yeah when I first saw it I wanted to give up. Then I said fuck it and it's just pure glory and I aint mad. I will humble myself and make the art that I can.
I just love the style, man

That gore is so shiny it reminds me of how video games portray meatbags and shit. Pri sweet
>>2984817
Best part about this is that her work is not oil, it's watercolor and markers.
The oil flaking/scaling textures are painted on.
>>2984838
>that neck

The egyptian sphinx has been around for over 1000 years, napoleon could send ships to africa and bring enough resources to make the journey to one of them. He was very powerful and influential at the time

>>2985568
his portrait sketch is to die for...

Skill. Gerome was in my opinion in the top 5 of oil painters, for sheer technique alone. You have to see his paintings in person to appreciate them fully. His brushstrokes are almost microscopic, when you can see them - he built up layer after layer after layer of transparent washes. His color is perfect, and his draftsmanship is impeccable.
If there are any of his paintings displayed near you, go see them!
The Bath, my favorite, is in the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, for example.
michelangelo my inspiration for all times
>>2985479
holy fucking shit
>>2986159
Some of Mikeybro's heads and necks look really fucked up. Is this from the Sistine ceiling? Maybe he put a crick in his neck painting the thing and it came through in his figures.
>>2984741
>>2986495
jesus christ. someday i'll be that good.
Feel this one so much

>>2986637
this looks bad and amateurish after all the oil paintings
Riccardo Federici... this is a a panel from a comic.
There are videos where he draws insane figures at cons, angels with anatomically flawless wings etc... all from imagination. The guy used to draw medical anatomy plates. I've never seen art of this level in comics.
i love the perspective on this one, wow
>>2986701 i love the perspective on this one, amazing
i felt in love on my first sight with roberto ferri's work
>>2986695
lmao, get cancer and die, really just stop existing right now.
>>2986737
Something I dislike about him is that he draws wings, horns etc. that are literally pasted on. If you paint hyper-realistically like that it's really jarring.
Pretty much anything out of this book.

These are just Layout Sketches, and to get to the point to create this quality en masse... Dream of mine to reach.
>>2986762
I didn't really look at it until you pointed it out, but yeah it is an odd setting. Can't even make sense of it. Is it symbolism, a part of a story, or just "cool".
>>2986762
i totally agree, i bet no art gallery would accept these painting
>>2986769
Aside from the painting itself, it is Craig Mullins. I'd suck it to get information from him.
Another of Craig Mullins I do like.
>>2986637
lol look at the guy bottom left... where the fuck is his body movement going to/comeing from it looks like he is going throught the woman in a weird way of walking
>crab mullins is bad now
/ic/ was a mistake.
>>2986695
I agree.
There was this one guy with a swanky mustache that made some cool paintings too
the fuck
damn this mustache guy was pretty great, I wonder if he went to art school or not.
>>2986793
You could've posted the paintings without the filename and the obvious signalling of your 4/10 joke and it would've still worked.
>>2986793
Hey that's actually pretty damn good.
>>2986793
Google says it's by Arnold Böcklin
>>2986783
It could've been a Sargent and I still would've called it bad.
i loooove these ray donley's misterious paintings with black background, they push me to the painting
>>2986818
That velvet is beautiful, I can almost FEEL the texture.
>>2986841
Seriously?
>>2984766
Damn, the statues are almost photorealistic. And the amount of detail on every face, wonder how long that took to paint.
>>2986903
yeah it's outside of my capabilities, if you have done something with high contrast like that I'd like to see :3

>>2984838
Fellas..
Classical work is noice.
>>2986755
That's actually easy to do. It just looks impressive because there's lots of lines
>>2986637
The lighting and textures and that stuff looks really great... but the figures are so stiff and doll-like with uncanny expressions, it almost hurts to look at it. It's all just so... artificial.
>>2986606
A new Art goal has been set
>>2986789
the paint may be silly, but I really would like to know what's wrong with this head for you
>>2987841

>>2986316

>>2986695
>amateurish
I'm not sure you know what that means. This series seems to have been a bunch of private commissions I get the impression he didn't actually care about that much.
