This.

My schedule right now is study and sleep (cause I'm a brainlet). I go on /ic/ while eating.

It's been like, 45 days since last time I have drawn

Schedules never work for me, the only rule is to wake up at 4-6am every day, this way even if I'm halfassing I still get at least 4 hours of work done by 12am and can do pretty much whatever guilt free, but I end but drawing anyway
>>
-wake up at 8 a.m
-start drawing or painting until 8 p.m (1/2 hours go to eating and resting).
-watch a movie/play a video game/ read a book until 11 p.m
-Write and reflect until midnight
-sleep and wake up at 8 a.m again
>>
Schedules don't work for me, but I draw everyday in the morning, just after eating breakfast, I disconnect the Internet and draw. This is what works best for me.

Wake up at 7 am
Work until 4:30 pm
Get back home at 5:30 pm
Eat something and draw until 11:00 pm
Watch an episode of anime before going to sleep
>>
>>2962725
what do you work on?
>>
>>2962715
So what, Zedig became a video game twitch streamer?

You do realize twitch has an art category?

I wake up at 3am. I draw personal stuff from 3am until noon. Then from noon until 8pm I draw for survival. As soon as I'm done survival work I go to bed. Rinse, repeat. Except on Sunday. Sundays I have a couple hours to watch anime. I'm so fucking burnt out. Someone kill me.
>>
>>2962831
No, I didn't know that actually. Are there many artists doing this on twitch now? The last time I watched art streams has been back when they all used livestream.
>>
>>2962836
What do you draw for a living? How much do you make?
>>
>>2962659
>wakeup betweeen 10AM-12PM
>goof off, beat off
>begin working at 1-2PM
>usually do a minimum of 4 hours a day of raw drawing, watching vids or reading books not counted.
>good days are closer to 8 hours and are increasingly frequent

Not much else to say really. I draw between 4-8 hours and tend to start late in the day because I have trouble getting up.

Its never the same.
Lately its been,
>wake up at 8am
>make breakfastf for son and myself
>9-10: get show and ready for dayjob
>10-4 hate life at dayjob but can draw at work so its ok
>4-9: family time, dinner, chores, lil chill
>9-10: internetting tho i shouldn't
>10-3am: work on commissions
>3-8 sleeps

but some days i work on commissions instead of the day job, and some days i'm so burnt out I dont do anything
>>
>>2962911
It's funny that you think people on /ic/ make a living off art
>>
>wake up
>procrastinate

>start drawing
>don't know what to draw
>doodle
>hour passes
>finally settle on something to draw
>draw it
>quickly get tired of it
>end up with an unfinished sketch usually
>stop drawing
>sleep and tell myself I'm gonna do better tomorrow

Every single day. At least I'm getting some hours of drawing but they're mostly meaningless.

Every time I set a schedule with planned shit to work on I break it after a few weeks. I don't know what to do to make this better, already wasted most of today by browsing this hellhole and refreshing the same fucking pages.
>>

>The last time I watched art streams has been back when they all used livestream.

Geez that was a prehistoric time ago, that site is practically dead now. yes a lot a artists are streaming on twitch in the "Creative" section, I know Sinix is on there.

Adobe also has their own channel there where artists can host for an hour or two showcasing their work.
I can post some channels I follow but they are mostly personal preference

>sleep for 4~5 hours every single night for the last year straight
>>
>>2962659
5-30min a day. Finals are coming up and I am totes screwed
>>
I work exclusively in the early hours. Can't get myself to be productive after work, so I go to bed early to spend 3-4 hours on art before I go to work.

4am-8am art practice
9am-5pm work
5pm-9pm free

Sometimes I draw after work, but normally I'm pretty tired at that point so I do possible chores, eat and play some vidya.
>>
>>2962659
MWFSS
>Wake up in the afternoon usually around 2
>Get 'breakfast'
>Smoke cigarette
>Smoke weed
>Draw until 5am
>Swear at self for staying up all night
>Go to bed

TT
>Wake up
>Have 5 minutes to get ready for gym appointing
>Squats'n'oats for two hours depending on if my trainer is on time
>Go home
>Cry because of muscle pain
>Draw until 5 am

Lather rinse repeat is just how things are happening lately.

During the drawing span i'll get up once every couple of hours and go say hi to my fiance, maybe eat food, maybe fuck, maybe watch a show with him, then right back to drawing for hours.

Luckily he's cool with it since he just plays vidya games all day anyway.

Today was leg day so i've been sluggish since I got home and haven't drawn anything yet though because I got distracted by fucking 4chan.

If at any point i get sucked into the internet during the day, the whole day is basically a wash.

Holy shit, is everyone on /ic/ a fucking neet?
>>
>>2964989
Yeah, most people on /ic/ are 17-19 year olds who are too afraid of getting a real job. How do you people not notice this?
>>
>>2964998
You sure? There was a survey thread a few weeks ago where most people said to be in their 20s
>>
When I kept a schedule it was as follows:

- Half hour of basic exercises (drawing freehand straight lines, point-to-point curves and ellipses)
- One hour of gesture drawing (half to two-minute sketches)
- One hour of anatomical studies (alternating between Bridgman and photographs)
- One hour of perspective study (alternating between Erik Olsen note taking and Scott Robertson exercises)
- One hour of film study (drawing shot-for-shot thumbnails of an entire movie)
- Half hour of freehand sketching

It sounded good on paper but I didn't really get any results. I made way more progress the previous year when I spent four months working through the Scroto figure drawing course, drawing three hours a day five days a week. For the first month I did gesture, for the second I did the bean, for the third I did robo-bean and for the fourth I did manikinization. I should probably go back to that.
>>
>>2965007
How about you just focus on one thing per day? Today my focus was heads so I drew about 50 heads from imagination, photo reference and master copies. Tomorrow my focus will be character design.
>>
>>2965017

I don't think it would work. It's better to practice something a little bit everyday than to do it all in one big block one day a week.
>>
>>2965017
How aren't you burnt out? Even gesture for an hour can get tiring to me. Must change focus every once in a while
>>
>Mon
Wake at 5.30am, get to work by 7am, try to draw at lunch, home by 6pm, prepare lunch for tomorrow dinner and fall asleep as soon as I've eaten
>Tues,Weds,Thurs, Fri
Repeat
>Saturday
Wake up at 10am, do laundry and other chores, have maybe 8 hours of time to do art unless seeing family/friends
>Sunday
repeat sat routine but also prepare lunch for Monday

FUCK YOU GAY FUCKING NEETS what do you even achieve with your sad days? You don't even appreciate it, you just post sad frogs

>>2965002
Neets in their 20s are still neets
>>
>>2965058
Dude, you should be able to do a dedicated subject study a day withou getting bored or tired. You burn out if you do the same stuff for days/weeks. Try focusing on different aspects of the thing you're trying to get down. Staying superficial in your exercises will make you plateau quickly.
>>
>>2965026
>It's better to practice something a little bit everyday than to do it all in one big block one day a week.
Better according to who?
If I spend one day focusing on anatomy, and the next day I'm doing character design, I'm still applying anatomy in the character design.
.
>>
>>2965162
>what do you even achieve with your sad days
I draw 9 hours every day, so probably more than you. If you don't like it, quit your shitty job like the rest of us.
>>
>>2965184
>Better according to who?

Every guitar teacher I've ever had, who all were emphatic in saying that it's better to practice 15 minutes a day than three hours a week.
>>
>>2965186
>I draw 9 hours every day, so probably more than you. If you don't like it, quit your shitty job like the rest of us.
That's exactly the problem, I don't get to draw very much because I'm always working to make rent and afford to live. There is no 'quitting my job' unless I live in the streets.
You neets get this shit handed to you and you can piss away your time on either yurobux or at your parent's expenses. Maybe you are a personally worthy expenditure but so many neets on this board just waste their time watching anime and then crying about how they can't even draw their waifus hands, it's infuriating to watch

I can't even maintain the /ic/ standard nhilistic attitude anymore, I'm just so angry and depressed about how those with opportunities waste them. I physically fall asleep drawing because I'm so desperate to have that time, but so tired from working
>>
>>2962708
Do you leave the house besides food?
>>
>>2965193
/ic/ might be filled with underage or people who just finished HS.

I neet'd a solid 8 mo after HS, it was pretty comfy
>>
>>2965162
>>2965193

I've been a NEET for eight years. Accounting for eight hours a night of sleep, I've had almost 50,000 hours at my disposal to get gud - five times that which is said to precede mastery.

I've wasted almost all of them.
>>
>>2963887
Your attention span is shot. Your brain is looking for instant gratification i.e. 4chan. For me if I read a book for an hour I can get in a state of focus. Your procrastinating because you wired your brain to want things like 4chan. Best thing to do is get off and do things that taker your attention for 30 minutes to an hour. One task only, eventually you won't be procrastinating.
>>
>>2964951
How are you not dead at this point?

Wouldn't call it a schedule
>Find something on my pinterest to study
>Draw from reference

I work the graveyard shift so I come home tired so I get most of drawing done on off days.

Brain still feels like cooked oatmeal either way, I need a vacation.
>>

I thought it was the wagies who were supposed to be ragie
>>
>>2962659
What application is this?
>>
>>2962911
I paint textures or do paintovers for more money than I deserve. But it doesn't matter because I'm about to lose my job.
>>
>>2965193
Diamonds are made under pressure anon. Sure NEETs have all the time in the world but how does being a 20+ adult with little to no life experience really make meaningful art?

Be glad you aren't like that. I've been NEET for 4 years but had small bouts of employment throughout and even tried to go back to school but failed at both, ended up getting real depressed that I couldn't do the most basic tasks everytime it happened. I practiced as much as my dumb feels would let me throughout that time but I think it would have been better to have at least part time work and school so I wouldn't be such a childish dork.
>>
>>2965256
google calendar most likely
>>
Mon-Fri wake up at 7:15, work from 9-5.

Other than that I spend an hour drawing a day and the rest is either spent on me drawing or anime/video games

I did this too. I wasted so much time. Now I'm 35 but I work extra hard to make up lost ground.
>>

Drawing is my job silly anon
>>
>>2965203
I go out sometimes to see exhibitions of other artists and I'm a big fan of painting outside, so yeah I leave the house, sometimes.
