is it cool to post jewelry for critique or is it just drawing stuff ?

Since you're here anyway i'll give my critique

The use of color is nice and you wrapped the wire in an aesthetically pleasing way. I think the shard-like crystals combined with the smaller pieces AND the center stone however is off balance in a way. Either all shards with the big piece, or shards and small ones without the big piece, or small pieces with the center piece.

You might get away with all three if you patterened it out a bit better.

That said that's just my opinion as someone who likes homemade jewelry and is very particular. As for actual craftsmanship I can't say because I only know how to make very simple hemp jewelry (tying knots and picking out the beads an crystals to use) so I can't tell you if your techniques are shitty or not.

Good luck anon it has promise and someone else might like the design just fine. I'm picky.

/cgl/ doesn't have a thread up right now, but there's generally a resin/home-made jewelry thread. I remember someone posting some of their wire wrap jewelry stuff and getting crit, so I'd take a gander through the offsite archives and look for it.
