who is your favorite artist and what about them do you like?
Mine is Alex Ahed and mike inel.
I like Alex's art because it's cartoony and the coloring is interesting.
I like mike because the coloring is pretty and his animations are smooth.
I like a lot of artists, but this is the kind of style I want to emulate. Something about the eyes is really cool to me.
>>2952908
Fuck off alex nobody gives a shit about your crappy art it literally amounts to shit in a sea of piss and other crap that looks exactly like yours. You are not a special snowflake, consider suicide.

JFC
Why would he be on here anyway!?
>>2952912
That looks really cool anon
>>2952917
I know, right? (Here's their pixiv, forgot to post it: https://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=6780)
I like odilon redon and gustave moreau.
Hard to find more creative colorful painters of the 19th/20th century.
>All this blatant shilling
sage and hide.
>>2952926
How is this even shilling!?
>>2952923
It's so creepy and strange.
i love it
I have several favorites, but Kaneoya Sachiko is probably the one artist I wish I could be most similar too. I love how weird, cartoony, and often erotic her art is, her pieces have such a unique mood to them.
I don't know who would be my favorite but I'm currently in love with Koji Kumeta's flat artstyle.
Araki, because of the color and craziness of it all
Sakizou. I am a simple person. I like pretty things and I want to make pretty things.
Otomo. Do I really need to say why?
>>2952931
They're alive.
/ic/ can only like obscure dead artists that are tangentially relevant to art history.
Kai Ikarashi, really drawn to how rough his art is, just flows well. Also his animation was one of the main things that captivated me.
Almost everyone from Trigger/Ex-Gainax
>>2952908
me, because my new retro computer aesthetics has something to say about the world, and in clever ways. see if you can get this piece, it's not a complicated message but /ic/ 'probs 2 dum' for even that.
>>2953178
This is about blacks and feminists destroying the white race, right?
>>2953318
jeez typical 4chan..but yes
Luke Mancini, because the guy is a monster overall, his process is stupidly efficient, he works super fast and his final products look great.

When I see neat stuff like this it really get's me thinking about trying out digital.... so nice!
Split between yoshinari, superamiuniverse, and our very own Rinfag.
>>2953594
Weeb Leyendecker?
>>2953596
How do you even look at that and connect those two?
Currently enjoying dissecting GinoGino's shape design.
whoever did this is my favourite artist desu
>>2952982
nice i am the same
Probably gonna be called out for generic as fuck taste, but giraffe necks aside he's a solid 10 in weebshit art.
>>2952970
you have good taste my dude
Favorite artist? Beksiński.
Artist I most want to BE LIKE is probably Jin Kim. His designs are so appealing and his construction is so solid and effortless.
I like Yumi Tada a lot, she's not the most skilled of all the artists I admire but I would be happy if I could get to her level in my lifetime.
Yoh Yoshinari
takahiro kagami, I always liked the way he did foreshortening, also the way he draws hands
Jen Zee's my gal. Elegance is a huge thing I appreciate in art and I feel like she portrays it really well. Also has nice usage of colors and uses a lot of hard brush strokes.
>>2954231
are those eyes on akko unedited? because with so made edits of this dork eyes I can't tell anymore
>>2954692
kek
>>2953962
I agree, he's an amazing draftsman, he's my inspiration when it comes to being proficient on different styles.
>>2953596
I guess the chiseled look is a bit similar, but Leyendecker was a painter, not a draftsman. He was also known for simplistic compositions with good distribution of detail and very controlled, rational palette.
There's none of that in that drawing.
Still this guy, I liked the visuals of Wakfu and started to draw because of it.
Taiyo Matsumoto's style is so fun and dynamic. His crazy perspective stuff is the best and he just keeps getting better. Also Murai and Panpanya.
>>2955010
Panpanya's probably not something to special technically wise but it's the kind of stuff I enjoy a lot.
>>2952908
George Kamitani
I can't describe what I like about it but I enjoy painting and his work simply draws my eyes to it. it just looks gorgeous to me
>>2955573
Another one
>>2952908
Muh Kaneoya Sachiko
Luv tha colors and style
>>2955573
I've always thought his stuff looked muddy and ugly, personally.
>>2955607
I can see why you think that. In my case before I even knew he existed I was unknowingly striving towards a similar path than his work so when I found him I just felt like I found my goal to reach and go even further beyond.
>>2955002
I played the Wakfu game just because I liked the visuals. It's not a good game or even that fun to play after a while, but I liked looking at it.
>>2955744
Same, wasn't my type of game. I just watch the cartoon and Xavier's stuff.
Just look at those hands and toes. Goddamn.
>>2953147
My nigga, I only wish this guy posted more finished-looking stuff sometimes
>>2952913
wow such edge ;)
>>2952970
i only like araki part 3/4 style, i really don't like his new one, it's too off putting

>>2955002
Wakfu's art is great, I totally agree.
>>2953147
fuckin hell anon that does look pretty nice, always glad to find more stuff like this
>>2953328
wow, u really make me tink anon...
David Hockney's Landscapes are a big inspiration to me to paint in general and helped me learn alot about painting. Personally for me his landscapes are very appealing.
>>2957461
Kamitani likes retarded anatomy, that is true, but he pulls it off.
Not something I can do though
Murata
(top: old, bottom: new)
Enki Bilal,I like his compositions and dystopic views. BUT, I find the colors too dull in some cases. Like everything is covered in dirt.
>>2954692
i've got that poster hanging up in my room, so i can assure you she's 100% original dork
>>2955010
>panpanya
aww hell yes
>>2959207
Reminds me vampire hunter d and that one french comic
It doesn't get much better than Cezanne.
I like Chris-chan, he makes me laugh out loud
