There's disadvantages at drawing for being left handed?

I hope not.
The only disadvantage I encountered so far is with calligraphy, and I don't really care much about that.
Stay away from tools with ergonomic grips.
Your parents buying needlessly expensive "left-handed art supplies" and people asking why all your artwork is upside down when opening your ringed art diary.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong then? I draw upside down on occasion but tend to use loose leaf or canvas when doing so. I haven't needed to use left-handed supplies since I was in high school.
I'm referring to the smaller little booklet diaries.
Only thing I've encountered as a lefty is indeed drawing on the other side as expected in ringed sketchbooks. I did notice however that there is an unusually large amount of lefties in my life-drawing groups and sketchclub when compared to the art-unrelated groups i'm part of (sports, for example.)

Steve Huston is left handed, you can make it anon
There was a talk about Wacom not thinking about lefties when designing their products, the Cintiqs had a rough start if I'm not mistaken because they didn't release a driver that recognizes the tablet is upside down for lefty use. At least that's what I've read from some reviews. There's no issue with it right now though.

I'm right handed yet draw with left hand just because. There is no disadventage.
