Why is this book so shit

What's shit about it anon?
>>2945662
I believe it feels more stylized. all the samples/demonstrations that book has, illustrates the anatomy in ways that they will never look in real life. well atleast its better than Hogarth lol

>Teaches you how not to draw things.
Ah. That does sound pretty shit.
>>2945670
Explain further. I just started reading it and it seems fine so far.

I really like this book and Hamptons style - I think he explains gesture drawing well - and the anatomy parts are pretty neutral. So I highly disagree with you.

It is fine

Decent book
One of the best entry books into figure drawing I have seen so far. Easily comprehensable, well illustrated and explained and neatly ordered in a way that builds upon previous learned skills. Like Hampton himself states, this book is not going into great detail with its subjects, but provides a basis. He suggests you to get additional sources for the best result. There are some minor things I feel he could've made better, but overall it's the best structured book on this topic that comes to my mind.

I actually enjoyed Hogarth's Dynamic Figure Drawing.
>>2945685
you can enjoy it, but it wont make it any less shit.

Nothing.

Because you are an idiot, you have no taste, and you are not going to make it.

This book was a great help, OP is a moron.

stop calling everything shit, that's not an insight. say why you don't think it's good quality or fuck off. or post your work.
What is a good figure drawing book then? And please, no loomis meme.

Gottfreid Bammes

Hogarth is actually pretty decent. It's just a meme to shit on him in the art community cause he fucked up all of his drawings with shitty shading. I think Marko Djurdjevic learned from his book and that dude's fucking amazing.

>was like $200-$300
