I actually kind of like the roughness of some of them, but it doesn't always feel thought out or intentional? If you're going for more realistic rendering of the hands, then I think have a long ways to go on everything from the initial construction to how you render though.

Construction just seems like you lose a lot of volume or flatten things out in unintentional places (For example, the ring finger of your top right drawing, and other fingers throughout your drawings). It's something that would get better with time and practice. But again, that's if you're going for more realistic hands, otherwise you might not need to be so worried about the construction. If that's the case, then you might try pushing the flatness and exaggeration further.

Digital rendering wise, if you're going for realism you again have some work ahead of you, but honestly I like the rough quality it has to it. I have two big issues though: 1. When you're using like hatching for shading, which feels out of place (bottom and top left drawings). 2. You have a lot of extra lines and shit. It looks like you're trying to show wrinkles/ folds in the skin, but in a lot of places they feel extraneous and sometimes awkwardly flatten the form (See bottom right drawing around where the thumb meets the palm). But there are some places I think you use these lines decently (Middle left drawing; left side of the palm under the pinky, how the lines make it feel like the skin is folding). Maybe look at using these kind of lines more selectively, for parts of the drawing you think are important and to better describe the form.

It's hard to say which way to go for you, since I don't know what you're going for, and that they're just like.... hands, but that's all just kind of my initial thoughts on them.

thanks for the thoughtful input - I really appreciate it. I'm trying to refine the structure while keeping my style, so I think you're right in that I just need to keep practicing. I think I tend to go through for the wrinkles and details when they aren't needed to try and give volume, when it often does the exact opposite. Thanks!

Good forms, but your line work is lacking. Having the same weight of line throughout is a bad habit you need to break. Line weight can convey weight, space, and lighting.

You're using a tablet - learn to use the pressure sensitivity to control the line weight, like you would be varying the angle and pressure of a pencil on paper.

You need more work on crosshatching and shadow, too.

But, again, the form is good.
