Op here, the translation of the incision is Io = I , sono = am.
i like it op.
can i be honest?
the settings for your sculptures don't really suit them. i would elaborate more on the surrounding. cool stuff tho it's kinda creepy and i think you can make it better if you put more thought into the environment
>>2934105
Thank you, they are all correlated to some philosophical argument.
The setting is the table were i do them. This are photos taken at the moment i dont plan to make them public ufficially
>>2934108
I really like this one. Looks like it's peering underwater

>>2935674
I use a cheap air dry clay
>>2935679
Fimo?
>>2935686
Not cheap enouth sadly, i buy my clay from a store close tu where i live. It has no specific name, sorry
>>2935604

>>2935711
The sculpture cracked becouse i did a third eye and then i removed It. I think the effect is nice too :-D

If you seek to develop as an artist start experimenting with the critic you get. Don't go backing yourself up with ''it's just the way it is'' bullshit when someone notice what can be improved in your work.
What i think of your work:
Work on environment and don't focus so much on symbols.

Nice stuff. Look into better clay.
You have good ideas, but not fantastic technique. I suggest really get into learning about clays and firing them. The work would really improve with a good glaze, you can get some great effect.
Also, I suggest mounting them on some nice wood, for a sculpture talking about ideas and philosophy you need to give them a bit more presence. Treat them with respect and care, air dry clay dosent give this effect. It looks like cheap mud shit.

What this anon said.
Also need to work on getting rid of ugly fingerprints, if it's an air drying water based clay you can brush it with a stiff bristled brush then with a soft wet one. If it's polymer clay you can use rubbing alcohol on a brush to smooth it and get rid of the fingerprints.
Personally if I see a bunch of fingerprints on small sculptures I immediately assume it's shit-teir. The concept can be amazing but fingerprints make it look amateurish.

You might want to look into sculpting wax. It's a form of wax that cools solid and hard, so you can carve and texture it, and it holds the shape, but when worked with the hands and warms it becomes like clay - and you can melt it and cut it with a hot knife. It's not expensive, it's about $20 for 1 pound.

Guys like Michelangelo and DaVinci used wax when they worked in bronze. Sculpting wax has a long, prestigious history. It's not permanent, but it won't crack like that.
The other alternative is Sculpty, which is much more expensive, but won't crack, and can be hardened in a kitchen oven.
Clay is really only good on large scale pieces.

Any tip on videos or books about carving methods and techniques?
I can work with clay, but got my butt kicked with wax.
My first sculpture in super sculpy. Not quite done yet.
>>2939422
How much does It cost that much sculpey?
>>2939492
It was like 15 bucks for a pound of the stuff. Still not done with the whole package.
How do I get into sculpting? Any books? YT vids?
>>2940985
There are some good video tutorial in YouTube. Otherwise you might considering a more standard approach and buy some Books about it. I suggest you the Michael faraud ones.
>>2935604
I really like this one
>>2934106
How long did you take to made this one? Nice job overall.
>>2945856
Thanks man, i usually sculpt very fast becouse i dont follow a draw i did before and my clay dry out quickly so i have around 4-5 hours before It gets hard. For this One It took me about 3 hours.
