Am I the only one who doesn't notice any difference between pencil brands? I have a Derwent, Faber Castell and a Staedtler set, I can't really tell which ones are better than the other.

I'd say those three are my favorite brands, actually, I use all three interchangeably with a slight preference for Staedtler. Derwent outliner pencils are sweet.
I can say some cheaper brands can't get the same consistency with the graphite so you won't get the same flow, and once in a while you'll run into tiny rock-hard specks that will scratch the paper and fill generally unpleasant.
also, cheaper pencils often come broken inside already, I hate when I have to keep resharpening and the lead just falls off all the time.

From soft to hard:
Hi-Uni > Staedtler > Faber-Castell

There's no reason to use anything else, as far as graphite goes. Fite me, Tombow Mono guy.

Is it a prismacolor product made in mexico? Into the trash it goes. You'll be buying a pencil that breaks every few centimeters

They used to be made in America, but the quality dropped as soon as it went to Mexico. I hate to see a good product die.
