shit i've always wanted to see what he looked like before he was a god
Kawacy 1999-2016
I have yet to see any artist improve as fast as Hotaruarc. He jumped from amateur to pro in a year ( 2011-2012)
This is also his 2012 sketchbook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dI5b8Q82Vw&t=734s

I fucking love Spencer's sketchbook
>>2926118
Does he just work on a fuckhuge canvas and have a million gigs of ram?
How else can you get your brushstrokes to look like that?
>>2926148
is this a joke?
>>2926176
most likely.
>>2926179
No? Who else improved this much in a year?
>>2926144
>anime
why bother? I wanna see this person do a buff man using an axe to chip his own beard.
>>2926120
His early stuff looks really funny
>>2926176
16g ddr4 ram with, maybe, a good graphics card and an i7 probs
>>2926118
He got worse
>>2926179
Lmao go check out dude's sketchbook. The guy is fucking amazing.
>>2926327
because they like drawing anime? why else?

I'll bite... I found these a couple days ago. Left were D&D character requests.
>>2926646
I see literally no difference
>>2926699
Really? ...That sucks to hear. The older drawings made me cringe when I saw them.
>>2926699
That's a little harsh, there's not much change I see in anatomy/construction but the lineart and coloring definitely improved
>>2926699
Character design is less generic and more interesting to look at, also coloring and I think lines as well are better.
If anything, left gives very strong "high-school art" vibe while the second doesn't, if in terms of presentation alone.

>Character design is less generic and more interesting to look at
because it's fanart
>>2926706
if it makes you feel better, I feel the same way about the newer ones
>>2926706
Theres definite improvement there. Not a crazy amount of it but it's there. That guys probably just fucking with you
>>2927202
Cute.
>>2927206
why do so many deviant artists fall for the dodge/burn and shading with .25 opacity blacks traps?
>>2927209
Because they don't have any one to tell them that it's shit
>>2926909
Well that was depressing. Looks like I shouldn't trust my own judgement.
>>2926148
Is that the mother fucking SPENCER WAN GOD?
>>2927231
tfw i wish i could follow this person again but all they do is rant about social justice and never post art
(inb4 "u just cant deal with other ppls politics" no. i can. but if someone screeches about this shit all day and doesnt post art theres not much of a point to following them)
>>2927231
I wonder how this person went about their routine. Probably had a certain artist inspiration and studied them often? Seems that way.
This is one of my favorites

Really like their style and the way they use light. Their left is really impressive in comparison to what I've got so far too.

Rough translation:
"It was not until mid-2012 that I suddenly realized the difference in proficiency. Sam asked me if he sold the soul to the devil.
When I started studying at school from summer, I started to study painting practically. From that time, I started to study and I studied human body properly ... I think I did well when I thought about these things."

hmm? they don't rant much at all... and they've recently posted some sketches but I suppose most of their work is NDA, and the industry is draining.
