I might just be retarded, but does anyone find it easier to just draw perspective based on reference images rather than all of these weird lines? It confuses me so much to do that. I'd rather just draw what I see. Obviously that's limiting since I can only draw as far as my references go, but with an artist mannequin and a phone camera, it's really not that limiting anymore.

Also it feels really liberating to finally get that off my chest. Hello world! I am anon! I don't understand the perspective guidelines! They confuse me!

From what I've been learning I don't know if it's a good idea to learn to do things this/that way if it's your first time, it really feels more like a tool to make drawing easier for more advanced artists.
