Aesop's like 40 and he dropped out of art school to pursue rap. The song is about how he feels guilty about stopping his art studies, and what it meant to him. He's a really cool guy if you listen to interviews and shit, along with being a pretty damn great rapper. He's definitely up there in terms of skill.

This interview with him is great (Open Mike Eagle is a rapper/comedian and he's great too)

That cover art for bazooka tooth was done by Tomer Hanuka, he also did a cover for Nat Geo awhile back. Aes hasn't done any of his covers I don't think, I know Jeremy Fish did None Shall Pass and Alex Pardee did the most recent album.

I know Aesop Rock was super into art when he was younger but I don't think he does it anymore.
