Hey /ic/ folk
I have terrible posture, which is real pain because I also have (light) scoliosis.
I know the drill, keep your back straight and don't sit with your hips, but it's really hard to keep a straight posture while drawing.
I mean when I paint in a easel it's fine because I do it standing up (and I like it better that way), but when I'm drawing in paper on a table it's really bad. It's even worse when I'm using my tablet.
Any tips or stories about that?
I don't know if you can with your scoliosis problem, but I would recommend lifting some weights or swimming, it improved my postured a lot.

weights? how can i use them to improve my posture?

It builds general strength in your muscles and helps out with imbalances. Though if you have scoliosis maybe do a bit of research first on things so you don't accidentally make things worse.

>The only way that I noticed I improve or sit with good posture is constantly being conscious of it
This. Also, and this is just my hypothesis, getting someone to give you a negative stimulus whenever they catch you with a bad posture would probably help. If you have family/friends around maybe ask them to slap you or something. You could probably also do rewards for good posture maintained over certain amounts of time. I'll try it myself soon.

Set an alarm to go off every 15 minutes or something until you don't need it any more?
