Is there a correlation between art skill and attractiveness? I've recently noticed that every notable artist that I'm a fan of is at least average looking. I don't think I've ever seen someone at a professional level who is ugly. Am I at a disadvantage cause I look like a goblin? Is it possible to still make it even if you're ugly af? Will people even hire you when they can hire more attractive people who aren't a chore to look at?

There's plenty of ugly ass artists, they just don't plaster selfies online so you never notice

>I don't think I've ever seen someone at a professional level who is ugly.
because they don't post their ugly faces.

this
ugly people are not oblivious to their looks, they are not going to post their face if they can help it
the only correlation you will find s that attractive people are more likely to post their face

Confidence tends to help when you're trying to get in to any industry, and there's probably a correlation between good looks and confidence
Being competent and succesful makes people more attractive.
Kim jung gi is ugly as shit but his art is amazing
Joel Jurion does pretty well and he's /r9k/ tier

He's a normal looking dude, possibly even above average because he's pretty fit for a guy his age.
Ever heard of Toulouse-Lautrec, pleb?

Also, every single artist I've met IRL who's "made it" has been super polite and chill. It has everything to do with how you behave rather than how you look. You're an artist, not a prostitute
